“Per recommendation of the Peace and Order Council embodied in its Resolution No. 14, series of 2017, recommending to the Sangguniang Panlungsod through the Office of the City Mayor to treat all fines and penalties collected by issuing citation tickets to traffic violators as trust fund for the improvement and institutionalization of the Tanjay CITOM, the Honorable Sangguniang Panlungsod, on motion of Member Teopisto T. Calumpang, Jr., seconded by Members Epifanio T. Busmion, Denver M. Bokingkito and Joselito R. Manso,
“RESOLVED to amend Section 12 of Resolution No. 14-033, enacting Ordinance No. 4, otherwise known as the Traffic Code of the City of Tanjay, Province of Negros Oriental, and further resolved to pass the following ordinance, to wit:
ORDINANCE NO. 1
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12 OF RESOLUTION NO. 14-033, ENACTING ORDINANCE NO. 4, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE
CITY OF TANJAY, PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL
“BE IT ORDAINED by the Honorable Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Tanjay, Province of Negros Oriental, that:
“Section 1. Section 12 (Funding) of Resolution No. 14-033, enacting Ordinance No. 4, otherwise known as the Traffic Code of the City of Tanjay, Province of Negros Oriental is hereby amended which shall now read as follows:
“Section 12. PROCEEDS FROM THE ISSUANCE OF CITATION TICKETS. All proceeds accrued from fees and penalties collected through the issuance of citation tickets to traffic violators shall be treated as trust fund of the City Government of Tanjay and shall be intended for the institutionalization and operation of the Tanjay CITOM.
“Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
